Our Bridge Programs
For Teachers & Educators
Working in a German childhood education center or Kindertagesstätte (Kita) requires a state-recognized qualification. Experienced international professionals can qualify either through professional recognition (Anerkennung), where their foreign credentials are assessed and identified gaps are addressed through additional training and supervised practice. Fresh graduates or career changers typically enter a formal apprenticeship (Ausbildung) that combines classroom learning with paid practical training. Both pathways require advanced German skills, usually B2 level, and lead to state-recognized qualifications.
The Bridge Program for Childhood Educators prepares international professionals and graduates for professional recognition or an apprenticeship in Germany.
For Other Professionals
Landing a job in Germany — regardless of field — requires more than résumés and diplomas. Professionals from abroad must translate their credentials and experience into a German-standard application dossier (Bewerbungsmappe), demonstrate their suitability in job interviews, and show German proficiency for formal requirements and professional communication, usually at A2 or B1 level. For job-seeking visas, such as the Chancenkarte, careful preparation, complete documentation, and a realistic understanding of the process are essential.
The Bridge Program for Job Seekers prepares applicants from abroad meet these requirements through German language courses, application and interview preparation, and practical guidance for entering the German job market.
